Blog Bday Party: Zayda - Falling in Light ♡

Hi there everyone! I'm Zayda from Falling In Light! I am an aspiring photographer from Cartagena, Colombia, living with my husband and dog in a small town called Kingsland, (GA)

I love taking pictures, scrapbooking, crafting etc. Today I will share with you a little tutorial on how to make Super Easy Napkin Rings that you can use to decorate your table when throwing a party!

You will need:
*Ruler
*Glue gun and sticks (or any other strong crafting glue)
*Scissors
*Pencil
*Permanent pen (I prefer Sharpies)
*Foam Sheets in different colors
*Blank paper or cardboard (I used an old photo)
*Anything you want to embellish your rings with (I've got clear glitter)

First, measure a 1 inch wide and 5 inch long strip of foam

Cut it, you'll have something that looks like this:

Glue the ends together making a ring, hold it for a moment while the glue dries, it should look like this:

Set it aside for a moment, go to your blank piece of cardboard or any other strong paper and draw your template. This is the shape that it's going to be on top of your napkin ring. This is important if you're making more than one ring because they will all have the same shape. If you're just making one, you can skip this step and draw directly on the foam. I decided to make a Cupcake for Lee Lee's birthday!

Make sure your pieces are separate from each other so you can overlap them later.

Cut them

Draw your pieces on the different color foam sheets

They will look like this:

Glue your design together:

Draw some details with the pen

Add glitter or whatever you want to make them prettier. You can use beads, sequins, anything you can imagine!

Let it dry. Glue it to your ring. Make sure you glue it where the ends of the ring are stuck together, so it looks even. It's ready!

Wait a little while 'til the glue dries completely, roll up a napkin, put it in your ring and you're done!

This can add a very cute and original touch to all your parties!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! Make sure to make some rings and add a little handmade flair to your next party!

Thanks for reading :)
